car failed its mot on a few minor/annoying things one was excessive pitting on the NS front disk,brakes have done under 5k passed the breaking test and have plenty of life left so is there anythin that can be done or is it a case of new disks again  Sad

New discs reqd . Its because your cars be lying around , hence the pitting . My sti had the same problem - lack of use . Doesn't have that problem anymore Laughing

yip all well and being run in...well when it gets mot'd,took a while waiting on parts but cant fault greers for the work they did,felt like a new car when i was bringing it home,except was told to keep under 3k rpm and my type R thats 55 mph,bypass on the way home wasnt fun  Laughing

funnily enough forged pistons were cheaper than subaru oem hyperthingymabob ones so would have ben rude not too as 2 needed replaced anyways  Embarassed ,plus uprated gaskets,modified oil pump,big end and main bearings and another bloody cam belt,thats its 3rd in 5k  Laughing budget meant only standard valves tho,couldnt quite stretch to stainless/inconnel ones i wanted  Sad but alls good and it will handle more power than i can afford to throw at it  Laughing

Wheres the pitting on the disks mate, I have access to lots of turning, milling machines etc. It the disks have only done less than 5k there is a good chance they will clean up still leaving plenty material on them, no probs for me to help ya out !

You'll have to use a universal grinder mate they wont mill or turn, they are case hardened.
