Top mountsThinking of replacing the top mounts when i fit the new dampers.
Any recomendations? Where is best to get them?
Cheers

I'd just go with the standard ones on a road setup , you could get pillowballs for extra adjustment but I wouldn't bother.

That was what i was wondering. Any idea how much they are?
Also what the general opinion on the under braces available? Worth it?

Undrebraces - forget it (Hd them ). Heres my advice (proven time and again)
New Lowered and stiffened suspension
Whiteline Anti lift Kit
Whiteline Rear Ajustable Roll Bar
Whiteline Rear Droplinks
This added to a good geo setup will give you immense handeling .

No your not, well he is really but just wanted an arguement with him
Check and see if you have metal front drop links, you probably will. If so there is no advantage in changing then to whiteline ones. Only time i will be doing that is when the oe ones need changing due to wear and tear.
'H' brace which goes under your car isn't really requires unless doing a hell of a lot of track work imo, same with adj top mounts.

Think i'll go for the proven track! I feel the car is quick enough but the handling lets it down big time just now. Wanna tighten it up so i can use all the horses!

Two words " Big Brakes " . Have a look at what makes a fast road car , aint horsepower . If I was ever moding a car again the brakes would be first on my list . Made a huge differance to my last scoob . Also with my new one i upraighted the discs and callipers .

You not still running the oe brembo jobbies Andy what did you upgrade to
Paul, you can upgrade your brakes pretty cheaply if you go for the subaru 4 pots with upgraded discs, pads and hoses. Either that or spend a few hundred more and source a set of the prodrive kit i've got. Get them for about £500-£700.

I had pillowball top mounts front and rear on my green scoobs coilovers and it handled great. when I had the crash they also saved my struts getting wrecked when everything got pushed back. might save bending a strut if you're unlucky enough to hit a pothole big enough.

He's got brembo uprated disc's and pads, they were fitted at you're house old age dosen't come it's self.
The standard top mounts on the front are about £80 each, i had to replace one as the bearing was cracked.
Rear swaybar, rear alloy droplinks and ALF make a big differance to the way the car handles, wish i had done it years ago.

Been looking at brakes for a while now. Think it's the gold brembo's i'll go for. £800 gets you all 4 calipers with discs and pads. Used that is but new they are ridiculous. Prodrive set up is rare and similar price for only the fronts.
Ksport upgraded brakes look good value too.

Cheers nigel! Been looking at those D2 brakes, lovely but pricey ??:
Those 4 pots might be worth a punt tho. They a decent upgrade?
Guy on scoobynet is sellin the front brembo's with nearly new discs and pads for £500. Really tempted.

That seems a good price. Imho, and i'm sure everyone will agree, if your going to do a job do it right the first time. Ie get the best you can afford. If you can get the brembo's go for it as they will be better than the oe 4 pots but add s/s hoses and a good set of pads.
If going for the oe 4 pots then it is a must that you get goodridge s/s hoses, uprated pads like mintex or ferodo, discs like pagid or the prodrive ones(not ebc through experience with them) and a good fluid like motul cdf600 that i use. Do this and you won't have any issues with brake fade etc.
